– The Normal Way: Usually, a flower needs pollen to create seeds, and the seeds tell the fruit to grow.

– The Trick: The farmer sprays the flowers with Gibberellic Acid (GA3) – a plant growth regulator.

– The Result: This chemical “tricks” the flower into thinking it has been pollinated. The fruit starts growing rapidly, but because there was no actual pollen, NO SEEDS are formed!

This is how we get those delicious, crunchy Seedless Grapes (Shine Muscat, Crimson, etc.)!
