The “Emotional Damage” That Makes Cranberries So EXPENSIVE #cranberries #animation

Have you ever looked at a bag of cranberries and wondered why they cost so much? The answer is… complicated, and involves a lot of spiders.

This video dives into the unique and ingenious method of “wet harvesting” cranberries. Because cranberries have four hollow air chambers inside, they float! Farmers flood the entire bog, and the berries detach and rise to the surface for easy collection. But this method has one terrifying side effect: it displaces all the field’s residents, including thousands of wolf spiders, who see the farmers as the only dry land to cling to.

So next time you see the price, remember the brave farmers and their “emotional damage” fee!
