The Bizarre Reason You MUST Clean Pomegranate “Crowns”! #pomegranate #animation

Can a simple act of kindness lead to a fruity catastrophe? Our Wacky Farmer is here with a hilarious (and slightly gruesome) tale of two pomegranates and one very deceptive butterfly! 🦋🐛

This funny animation shows what happens when one kind pomegranate offers a resting spot to a “tired” butterfly, only to become a nursery for its hungry larva! Learn why it’s important to keep the calyx (the crown-like part) of a pomegranate clean to prevent pests like the pomegranate fruit borer from laying their eggs there. It’s a lesson in pest prevention and the sometimes brutal reality of the garden!
