We discuss the Hinge Theorem and the Converse of the Hinge Theorem, and how it relates to the hinge of a door. We do an indirect proof with the Converse of the Hinge Theorem and we compare side lengths of two triangles using the Hinge Theorem. We find the range of values for a variable and combined inequalities. We look at a tether ball as an example of the Hinge Theorem. Then we do a two-column proof before reviewing the Hinge Theorem and it’s Converse.
