Geometry 10.6c, Use Geometric Probability to estimate pi

An explanation of how we can use geometric probability to estimate the value of pi. We use a 4 x 6 grid that is the width of a coin and toss the coin onto the grid 20 times. We let X represent the number of times the coin lands touching or covering an intersection of two grid lines. Then we estimate Pi by using the formula pi is approximately 4 times the quotient of 20 and X. We find the average of several results to see how accurate our estimate of the value of pi will become.
