Geometry 13.1b, Introducing Permutations & Factorials

1.9K views on YouTube

An explanation of permutations as a selection of a group of objects in which order is important. We find the number of permutations by using the expression n(n-1)(n-2)(n-3)…(1), which is called “n factorial” and is written as “n!” We find the permutations for three items as 3(2)(1)=6. We discuss why 0! =1, and also how to find the possible permutations of a group when we don’t want to put an entire set of items in order.
