Geometry 5.4c, Review – Solving Compound Inequalities

This is a short review of what we learned in chapter 4 and 9 in Algebra 1. How to solve an inequality using the Properties of Inequality and inverse operations to undo the operations in the inequality one at a time. We discuss the Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, Transitive, and Comparison Properties of Inequality; how a compound inequality is formed when two simple inequalities are combined into one statement with the word “and” or “or”; reversing the signs when dealing with negatives; graphing our inequalities to include or not include a number on a graph.
