An explanation of how the volume of a pyramid is related to the volume of a prism with the same base and height. We divide a cube into three congruent Square pyramids using Nets. We use the formula for the volume of a pyramid to find the volume of a rectangular pyramid, then a square pyramid, trapezoidal pyramid, and finally a regular hexagonal pyramid whose height is the same as its apothem.
