The main objective of this project was the implementation of an oscilloscope based on an FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) board. The Altera DE2 board, which is based on the Cyclone II FPGA, is the core of this project.
System features:
• Dual channel memory oscilloscope.
• FIFO and RAM implementation on each channel.
• User selectable trigger per channel.
• Offset adjustment per channel.
• Amplitude/Division adjustment.
• Period/Division adjustment on RAM channel.
• Screen paused on user request
• LCD and BCD indicators
• Measurements for periodic sinusoid waves.
The whole firmware development was made using Verilog language and on the Altera Quartus environment.
*This project is a group project for the Digital Design for System on Chip module of the University of Leeds. At the group participated DimitrisK and http://www.youtube.com/user/minos197
