Poppy Pod Photography. Stacked Shots & Super Sharp Seeds.

In this macro photography tutorial, we are exploring the wonders of the poppy seed pod. We will be getting some minimalistic exterior shots, as well as opening them up to see the seeds inside.

These seed pods have some really nice textures, contours and colours to explore in macro. The amazing structure of the pods makes for an exquisite macro photography subject idea so we will be making the most of them, inside and out! We’re taking a look at some simple lighting tricks and using focus stacking to get some clean, sharp images.
