Learn to HEAR Rhythms – (Exercise Set 2)
3.2K views on YouTube
Test your ability to hear rhythms with this lesson. See if you can learn each of the 10 rhythms by ear, either by writing them on staff paper, using notation software, or by simply counting along using beat numbers. If you choose to count along, these exercises can be completed eyes-free while you do passive work like washing the dishes or driving to work. The examples in this second lesson include Quarter Notes (Crotchets) and grouped Eighth Notes (Quavers). All questions in the first 10 lessons of this series will be in 4/4 meter and played on a middle C. A hi-hat will count off each example, which will then be played on a piano. If you need to hear a question several more times before the answer is revealed, you can use the timestamps to jump back to the beginning of each example.
