Ear Training with Rhythm – (Exercise Set 3)

2.5K views on YouTube

Can you learn these rhythms by ear? To complete this lesson, you can write the rhythms on staff paper, use notation software, or simply count along using beat numbers. If you choose to count along, these exercises can be completed eyes-free while you do passive work like washing the dishes or driving to work. The examples in this third lesson only include Quarter Notes (Crotchets), Quarter Rests (Crotchet Rests), and grouped Eighth Notes (Quavers). All questions in the first 10 lessons of this series will be in 4/4 meter and played on a middle C. A hi-hat will count off each example, which will then be played on a piano. If you need to hear a question several more times before the answer is revealed, you can use the timestamps to jump back to the beginning of each example.
