How I Made POSITIONS by ARIANA GRANDE

In this episode we breakdown and remake the new #1 song in the world Positions by Ariana Grande!

There is no surprise as to why this track reached the number 1 position in the Global Top 50. Straight from the get go, the track hits you in the face with beautiful pizzicato violins and a super cool jungle/birds sample that is chopped to be playing a 16th beat rhythm. It’s such a cool trick!

In this episode of Under the Covers, we find the key and chords for positions, as well as what instruments and sounds that are used in this sweet sounding production. Then we cover the chorus while trying to recreate all those wonderful sounds!

We will look at how to recreate the strings pizzicato, how to make a low rumble 808, how to get a punchy kick, how to get a great snare and clap sound, how to record electric guitar, how to make trap hihats, how to make impacts and risers, and lastly we will look into how to record vocals in Logic Pro X!

I really do hope you enjoy or maybe even learn something from this episode.

Let me know if there are any other songs you would like to see me recreate next!

How I made POSITIONS by ARIANA GRANDE

Under the Covers #39

———————————————————————————–

Hello! I’m Hugh AKA 93 Acres. I upload two videos a week all about music writing & production. The channel is entirely based on teaching you everything I wish I knew I knew when I started making music 12 years ago! I really hope it can bring value to you.
If you have any topic you wish to learn about, let me know and I can make a video on it!

I have spent time performing with other artists, including a European tour with the talented Irish band ‘All the Luck in the World’.

I am now regularly releasing music under 93 ACRES, and my latest release ‘Buckle End’ is out now with SEBA SAFE.
