How I made BIRTHDAY by DISCLOSURE KEHLANI & SYD

Let’s breakdown and remake BIRTHDAY by Disclosure Kehlani and Syd!

This track is amazing. Arguably my favourite from Disclosure’s new album ENERGY, and this piece undoubtedly has bundles of energy.

In this Birthday cover, we’re going to take a deep dive into the keys, hihats and beautiful vocal melodies. We’ll take a look at the sounds, plugins and effects in logic pro x that can help us recreate this song.

In this episode, we’ll focus on multiple music production tips. Examples of these will be multitracking vocals, stereo spreading instruments, tuning vocals, glissando, 7th chords, impacts and risers, panning, hard hitting hihats, and how to improve your snare sounds in Logic Pro X!

If you have any questions feel free to ask either down in the comments, or over on one of my livestreams on Twitch. I’m always more than happy to help in any way I can!

Under the Covers #32

———————————————————————————–

Hello! I’m Hugh AKA 93 Acres. I upload two videos a week all about music writing & production. The channel is entirely based on teaching you everything I wish I knew I knew when I started making music 12 years ago! I really hope it can bring value to you.
If you have any topic you wish to learn about, let me know and I can make a video on it!

I have spent time performing with other artists, including a European tour with the talented Irish band ‘All the Luck in the World’.

I am now regularly releasing music under 93 ACRES, and my latest release ‘Buckle End’ is out now with SEBA SAFE.
