In this video, we look at functional groups and homologous series. First we explore what is meant by a functional group, using the alcohols as an example. We then see how the alcohols are an example of a homologous series. Finally, we look at another homologous series: the chloroalkanes.

This video is aimed at the UK A Level Chemistry specifications. Students studying International A Level Chemistry will need to check their specification.
