Chad provides an introduction to Organic Chemistry and a lesson on hydrocarbons, compounds composed only of carbon and hydrogen. This begins with alkanes which comprise the ‘saturated’ hydrocarbons and then moves to alkenes, alkynes, and aromatic compounds which comprise the ‘unsaturated’ hydrocarbons. The lesson concludes with a demonstration of how to draw structural formulas and condensed formulas for hydrocarbons.
