How To Refill Your Travel Watercolor Palette {and get every drop of paint out of a tube!}

I am so excited to see so many of you out painting with watercolors. It is a good idea to start out with a small kit of half pan watercolors to begin but what do you do when you run out of a color? Buy a new kit? No Way! I’ll show you how to refill any of the travel kits, it does not matter what brand but you want to refill with colors with the same characteristics, such as warm yellow, cool blue etc. I will explain in today’s video!

Also, do you throw away your empty tubes of watercolors? How about the hard, dried out tubes. Stop! There is still good paint inside. Unlike acrylics and oils, watercolor paint is still good if it dries up, you simply need to cut away the tube to get to the chunk of died paint, it will come back to life with a wet brush! You can also cut open a tube of watercolor when you have squeeze out all you can and scoop out another portion of paint with a craft stick or palette knife. Watercolor is a no-waste medium and when you start getting to more expensive brands and colors you will want to use up every drop!
