I was asked by Lisa, a member of the Frugalcrafter Facebook page, to paint a daffodil lit from behind. She wanted to know how to get a dark background in while leaving the flower light and bright. I hope this tutorial helps. I um using the following colors:
Payne’s Grey
Lemon Yellow,
Sap Green,
Yellow Ocher
I am using a #6 round brush, 1″ flat and a #1 liner.
My Surface is a 140# Canson watercolor greeting card.
