In this tutorial we discuss about how to setup a simulation of heat exchanger in the DWSIM from the scratch. Here we discuss what kind of simulation we can do in DWSIM? What is the objective of the simulation for heat exchangers? We used the example of Water and Toluene to discuss how to find the area of heat exchanger for desired heat exchange and output temperature of hot stream. We also simulate and figure out the temperature of cold fluid outlet for the desired hot fluid outlet temperature.
