In this session, we dive deeper into Business Level Strategies by studying competitive rivalry. We define a competitive market or segment by looking at Market Commonality and Resource Similarity, discuss key drivers of competitive actions and analyze factors that influence the likelihood of a competitive attack or response. Finally, we look at Competitive Dynamics and the relationship between Market Structure, Firm Conduct, and (financial) Performance of the players in a market.
