Theoretical Probability, Permutations and Combinations

What are the odds when you play the lottery? When you bet on a horse race? When you flip a coin? That you’ll have a good day today? Some of these are simple questions. Some, more difficult. But most events involve probabilities that can be assessed and quantified. Let’s look at a few, starting with easy ones, and then trickier ones, while defining permutations and combinations along the way!
