NO, NA, NOS, NAS meaning, usage and examples in European Portuguese with

The word “no” in Portuguese doesn’t mean “not”, but because of its form, it’s usually mispronounced and read as /noʊ/ in English, or /no/ in Italian or Spanish. It’s a contraction of the preposition “em” and the definite masculine article “o” and it means: at the, on the, in the. When we use it with the other definite article forms, it becomes: no, na, nos, nas. It always needs to be in the same gender and number as the following word.
