In this video, we show you how to import a 3D model for a footprint in Kicad.

This will allow you to see the component when you render the PCB in 3D view to see how it will look in real life. Having a step file for your components is also handy if you want to import your PCB into other CAD software like Fusion360 if you want to design an enclosure
