Whether it’s the middle of winter or a hermit who doesn’t like to see the sun, you can still give yourself a realistic tan with the help of Lightroom. In this tutorial, you’ll learn two easy ways to make skin look tan using the HSL adjustments, or the color range mask method. Both options work very well for adding a more brown tone to your skin, but the best option depends on the tones in your background. If your background has similar hues to your skin tones, then you will end up adjusting the background too when you try to edit the skin tones. Luckily with the adjustment brush and the color range mask, you can selectively apply a tan so the background isn’t affected. With these two options, you can make sure you always look tan, even if you have pasty white skin as I do.
