How to edit photos to look old
On my photo editing, I am using Lightroom to show you how to edit one photo in three different styles. I am using Peters McKinnon’s presets. These presets are not for free, but I am a big fan of Peter McKinnon. I am sure that process of editing will be useful for you, even if you use it on other similar presets.
Editing of the first image is quite easy. I am using preset called Genesis BW. After that I am using split toning tool to make my image look more vintage. In this edit, I am also adjusting tone curve. I am also adding some grain to my image, and there is perfect and quick tool for this. To finish my quick edit on the first image, I expose my eyes.
In the second image editing, I am applying preset called Elemental. But when using this present I need to adjusting colors. So I am influencing hue, saturation and luminance of the chosen colors. In this edit, I show you a quick and easy retouch, which you can use whenever you want to enhance you image.
The third image is quite cinematic for me. I am using preset called Moraine and first of all I am adjusting the tone curve. After this, I am playing with colors. mainly saturation of various colors. In fact, I am using the combination of techniques I used in the first and second edit.
So I hope these tips were helpful and inspirational for you.
