Goal Seek is a built-in function in Excel that can solve one equation for one unknown. It is particularly useful in situations where the unknown variable cannot be isolated or solved algebraically (such as solving for temperature when the Antoine Equation is plugged into Raoult’s Law). Without computational tools, you would need to solve these problems with guess-and-check or iterative solutions.
