This is Part 2 of Professor Fink’s Arthrology Lecture. This Lecture reviews the types of Synovial Joints, including Limited Movement, Gliding, Uniaxial, Hinge, Pivot, Biaxial, Multiaxial, and Ball-&-Socket Joints. Specific attention is given to the Elbow Joint, Knee Joint (including Anterior Cruciate Ligament, Medial Meniscus, Medial Collateral (Tibial) Ligament, Patellar Ligament) and also Atlanto-Axial Joint, Temporo-Mandibular Joint (TMJ), Gleno-Humeral (Shoulder) Joint, and Acetabulo-Femoral (Hip) Joint. Also presented are common Disorders & Diseases of the Joints, including Sprains, Dislocations, and Arthritis (including Rheumatoid Arthritis, Gouty Arthritis & Osteoarthritis). Reference is made to hyperuricemia, Bursa, bursitis, Synovial Tendon Sheaths, tendinitis, repetitive motion disorders, and carpal tunnel syndrome.
