Active transport is divided into:
– Active carrier transport (1ry active and 2ry active)
– Vesicular transport (Exocytosis and endocytosis)

Endocytosis is divided into phagocytosis (cell eating) and pinocytosis (cell drinking).

How do you think your cell gets nutrients? -Answer: endocytosis.

How do you think macrophages ingest bacteria? -Answer: endocytosis, then they fuse the dead cell with lysosomes “phagolysosome” to destroy it by the lytic enzymes.
