Shooting a Pale Purple Clematis 🌺 Flower Photography Tutorial

4.8K views on YouTube

Let’s shoot a purple Clematis! Today we are shooting indoors using only the artificial light of the Adaptalux Studio. Although we are heading into summer and things are starting to bloom, rainy days still need to be occupied!

Unlike our macro photography tutorials, in this series, we are setting out to explore the photographic possibilities of different flowers and plants. We will be exploring different lighting methods and looking at ideas and inspiration for composition too!

So in the first of many flower photography tutorials, we are looking at a common pale purple clematis flower. We’re going to look at lighting this flower with a single source and figure out how to make the most of the deep purple on the back side of the petals.
