Power Electronics – Dimmer–EEE mini projects

For EEE, Electronic Dimmer as popularly known as is used in getting dimming a lamp intensity or a fan speed. The basic function is explained without filters and snubbers for inductive loads those form as additional part for the commercial type. It is based on delayed firing angle to a triac triggering for load out put power control. it is truly not a voltage control as compared to variac type using variable auto transformer.
