I Quit My 9–5 Job in 2024 — Was It Really Worth It?

Almost 2 years later, I’m sharing the honest reality of leaving a stable job and building a career through skills, freelancing, YouTube and online teaching.

In 2024, I made the decision to leave my 9–5 job after spending years working in the animation industry — across animation studios, publishing houses and advertising agencies, and also teaching animation at Arena Animation.

But I didn’t want to make this video immediately after quitting.

I wanted to give it time.

Almost 2 years later, I’m sharing what actually happened after I left my job — the things that worked, the things that didn’t, the challenges of building your own career, and whether I would make the same decision again.

In fact, I would strongly recommend that you don’t quit impulsively.

First build a valuable skill.
Then test whether people are willing to pay for it.
Start small.
Build experience, income and confidence.
And only then think about making a bigger career decision.

My journey happened through animation, freelancing, YouTube and teaching. Your journey may look completely different.
