How Decade Counters Work – The Learning Circuit

In this video, Karen teaches how decade counters work. They are integrated circuits that use logic gates, flip flops, and a clock signal to cascade a high output signal across ten outputs. Decade counters typically may count in one of three binary methods, decade, BCD, or bi-inquiry. They can be used to control 7-segment displays, an array of LEDs, and more.
