An explanation of a simple event as an event that describes a single outcome, a compound event as an event that is made up of two or more simple events, mutually exclusive events are events that cannot both occur in the same trial of an experiment, and inclusive events which are events that have one or more outcomes in common. We discuss the formula for inclusive events and find the probability of an inclusive event. We use a Venn diagram to help us show the relationship between sets and find the probability of inclusive events. We use the complement of an event to find the probability of a compound event. We review and discuss the difference between mutually exclusive events and inclusive events for their formulas. P(AUB) + P(A) + P(B) – P(A∩B)
