Flight – 1 hour Sketch

Sketch for #maysketchaday! Painting took an hour, I sped it up 600x to be a bit more bearable.

I wanted to share the full process including gathering appropriate reference and even photobashing in the eagles to save time (I didn’t want to go over an hour). I usually know what references I need once my initial lines are down – mostly just from being familiar with certain paintings or films which have the mood in my head. I also colour pick from these, although that’s mostly just because I’m colourblind and it helps. Let me know if this stuff is interesting and I’ll upload more!
