Django Oscar eCommerce | Understanding Payments

Blog: https://www.jaimedcsilva.com/hello-world/django-oscar-payment-gateway-theory-part-18/

In this video, we dive into the theory behind payment handling in Django Oscar. To keep things simple, we’ll break this topic into multiple parts. In this first one, we’ll focus on the payment flow and the three main cases to handle:

1️⃣ Payment abandonment – when the user leaves the process while still on the gateway
2️⃣ Payment cancellation – when the user explicitly clicks “Cancel” on the gateway
3️⃣ Payment success – when the user completes the payment successfully

This foundation will set us up for the next posts where we’ll implement these flows in practice.
