🔵20 – Reduction of Order: 2nd Order Linear Homogeneous Diff Equation with Non-Constant Coefficients
46.2K views on YouTube
When the coefficients of a 2nd order linear homogeneous differential equation is non-constants or variable, we can use the method of reduction of order.
This helps us to reduce the order of the differential equation and solve for the general solution.
One limitation to this approach is one solution must be given in the problem.
That will help us to find the second solution and hence the general solution to the d.e.
